Mrs. Ruma Dutt, a graduate in Arts from the University of Calcutta, is an ardent supporter of Nature and a lover of music. She is an artist of Tagore's songs (Rabindra Sangeet) and has a diploma in Classical Indian Music. She had also performed in various stage shows and in Television.

Her passion towards bringing about changes in the quality of lifestyle amongst the rural poor and alleviation of poverty through the formation of self help groups of women folk in the rural villages, coupled with her concern for the preservation of nature, and campaign for eliminating cruelty to animals, have dragged her to the business of producing handcrafted 'fashion and apparel' products using the natural fiber "Jute". She is also associated with many Social Service Organizations and is one of the Past Presidents of a leading Inner Wheel Club at Kolkata and has served the Club in many capacities like Secretary, Treasurer and Editor etc.

She is happily married to Rtn. Soumyendu, a Chartered Accountant and a Company
Secretary having a graduate degree in Law and a Masters degree in Commerce. She is blessed with a daughter, her only child, Sreetama (18) is pursuing her Engineering Degree in Bio Technology.
