Golden Mouse Award honorees have sites that are easy to surf, and have good content (less than 20% of the site is advertising). These are real businesses run by honest, hard working committed women. We do not review any sites which promote "get rich quick" schemes or pornography.

There can be several “winners” in each category as we do not judge sites comparing them to other sites. The Golden Mouse Award is a stand-alone award given to sites which meet our criteria.

Winners of the Golden Mouse Award must display the award logo in a visible area of their site as a reciprocal hyperlink (preferably the home page).

Individuals nominated for this award should meet the following criteria:

• The site is at least 51% woman-owned – this does not apply to the Exceptional CEO Award, which is given to a woman CEO who represents an exceptional online company or community.
• Community Involvement and Service (which can be found in the about us (or bio) section of site, blog, ezine or marketing materials)
• Demonstrates Ethics in Business
• Demonstrates Leadership in her chosen Profession and in her Community
