Rosana Santos was born in Rio de Janeiro, where the mixer of harmony and beauty, the sea, the mountains are the signature of excellence. Raised in the business metropolis of Sao Paulo – Brazil, she attained her university degree in Family Law. She has lived in Cali, Colombia and Angola, Africa. Rosana continued higher education studies in Fort Lauderdale, Florida where she acquired an MBA in Global Business Management.

Calling Florida her home for over 16 years, she has taking leadership roles in several business organizations of distinction. She is the former treasurer of Florida Business Broker Association and currently leads a program geared to assist small/minority and women owned businesses for the Broward Alliance, economic development organization for Broward County. In addition, she participates at the School Advisory Council of Hollywood Academy of Arts and Sciences. She has been distinguished with the “Volunteer of the Year 2005-2006 Award” for The Broward Alliance and Entrepreneur of the Year -2002– Circle of Excellence Award” by the Women’s Council of Fort Lauderdale Chamber of Commerce.

In the past, she has managed a South Florida Energy Conservation Company and has represented the transfer of privately held businesses; until she found her passion, which is in food industry – this is when Big Chef was acquired, in 2003.

Big Chef is an FDA & USDA inspected plant that specializes in the manufacturing of delectable bite-sized Hors D’Oeuvres and Canapes for the hospitality sector, convention centers, first class airlines, stadiums and private events. She writes a food column for “VIP Brazilian Magazine”.
Under her management the company has tripled the revenues and quadrupled the staff.
Big Chef won the “Best Ethnic Food in the Americas” IV Food and Beverage Show, and “Make Mine A Million Business” award in San Francisco. Big Chef has been profiled at the Sun-Sentinel, Miami Herald, BusinessWeek online, among many other publications.
