With 12 years of professional consulting experience, Susan has served as
consultant in many capacities to organizations including
Schering-Plough, Bristol Myers Squibb, Agency for Healthcare Research
and Quality (AHRQ), The Center for Disease Control (CDC), National
Institutes of Health (NIH) / National Center on Minority Health and
Health Disparities (NCMHD), U.S. Department of Defense, the U.S.
Department of Energy, and the Food and Drug Administration (FDA).
At Booz Allen, Ms. Vissari is an Associate and the Process Improvement
Manager for the Center for Performance Excellence. She is responsible
for managing the development and implementation of the Process
Improvement Training Program. She manages staff that develop and
deliver process training curriculum and ensures training at Booz Allen
is meeting the Level 3 requirements of the Capability Maturity Model
Integrated (CMMI), developed by Carnegie Mellon University Software
Engineering Institute (SEI).
As Director of Programs at PEAK Management Consultancy, a conference and
meeting management company that specializes in providing a wide-range of
event management services, she works with clients to ensure successful
meetings. The service she offers can be tailored to meet specific
client-based requirements. The company is large enough to accommodate
most meetings, yet small enough to allow for personalized service and
response to client needs.
Susan received her Associates degree in Marketing from Montgomery
College in 1996 and a Bachelors degree in Management from the University
of Maryland in 1998. She also obtained her Certified Meeting
Professional designation in 1999. She is also a member of the American
Society for Training and Development.
Susan has one young son with a new baby due in November, and is married to a great guy. Her pastimes
include exercising, reading, water sports, caring for her family,
traveling and being involved in fundraising events. She has done
extensive volunteer work with local schools, the American Cancer
Society, the American Lung Association just to name a few.
Susan is also an international speaker and has spoken in North America,
Africa, and Europe on topics such as Meeting Management, and Risk
Reduction and Crisis Management for Safer Events.
