Dr. Wilhelmena Mack has over 28 years of experience in human resources, training, community development and teaching. Dr. Mack is currently the Vice President, Chief Human Resource Officer for the North Broward Hospital District. The North Broward Hospital District is the third largest employer in Broward County and the sixth largest health care system in the country. As Vice President, Dr. Mack is responsible for providing leadership and administrative direction to promote the development, implementation, evaluation and management of all district wide human resource services that are consistent with the District’s mission, vision, strategic plan and resources. Dr. Mack is responsible for employment and recruitment, employee relations, leadership and organizational development, employee health and records administration, compensation and benefits, cultural diversity and employee assistance. She works directly with the Regional Human Resource Directors to coordinate the development, implementation and administration of human resources services, programs and policies of the district.
Before joining the North Broward Hospital District, Dr. Mack worked as Vice President, Consulting Services, for Right Management Consultants; Director of Training and Development and Director of Community Benefits for the Memorial Healthcare System and as Education Coordinator and Personnel Officer for Jackson Memorial Healthcare System.
Dr. Mack has always been active in a wide range of community, civic, non-profit and professional organizations. She has served on the boards or directors and held leadership positions in Big Brothers/Big Sisters; The March of Dimes; The Broward Alliance; The Museum of Discovery and Science; The Children’s Home Society and The Tower Forum to name a few.
Dr. Mack has received numerous awards and commendations. Some of them include the 2000 March of Dimes Woman of Distinction Award; American Cancer Society Woman of the Year; American Lung Association, President’s Award’ Junior Achievement National Bronze Leadership Award and TJ Reddick Bar Association, Community Services Award.
Dr. Mack received her Bachelor of Arts and Masters of Education degrees from the University of Miami. She received her Educational Specialist and Doctorate of Education degrees from Florida Atlantic University.
Dr. Mack is a native Floridian and resides in Lauderhill.
