Boo (Province) Zamek is the founder and president of JustAskBoo LLC, an exclusive (but very friendly) e-newsletter in which sophisticated individuals post inquiries to exchange resources, ask other readers for information or advice, sell items via classified ads, promote charity events, advertise their businesses, and more. Newsletter subscriptions are free of charge, as are select posts. Subscribers (JABBERS) use first and last names, and all posts are filtered through an editor. Responses exchanged by JABBERS as a result of the Newsletter are archived in our Treasure Chest. Subscriptions to the Treasure Chest are separate from the newsletter, and require a small monthly fee.
Zamek launched JustAskBoo in Miami in early 2008. Since then the company has expanded to a 15 person team that circulates newsletters to 30,000 subscribers in four major South Florida markets: Miami South, Miami North, Ft. Lauderdale/Broward, and Palm Beach.
In the past four years Boo has received several important accolades including: Winner of “The People’s Pick” and winner of Third Place Award (judge’s vote), Miami Herald Business Plan Challenge, May 2009; Finalist in two categories, Coral Gables Chamber of Commerce Diamond Awards, November 2010; Honoree by the Junior League of Miami, Inc. at annual Miami Magic gala for “Making Miami Magic,” December 2010; Finalist in Businesswomen of the Year Competition, Entrepreneur Category, Coral Gables Chamber of Commerce, February 2011; Winner of Woman Extraordinaire Award, Business Leader Magazine, March 2011; Winner of Coral Gables Chamber of Commerce Fifth Annual Rising Star Award, May 2011 and the Business Women of the Year Award, Entrepreneur category, March 2012.
Prior to launching JustAskBoo , Zamek worked with Coral Gables-based Kreps De Maria Public Relations and marketing as a vice president, overseeing comprehensive public relations campaigns and securing new business. Zamek spent the early years of her career in the marketing and advertising industry in Atlanta, then later at Northern Trust Bank of Florida.
A graduate of Texas Christian University, Zamek was raised in Coral Gables, where she and her husband Paul now live with her their two daughters. She is a member of Beaux Arts of the Lowe Art Museum (since 2008), a Board Member of Miami Bridge Youth and Family Services (since 2009), a Member of Coral Gables Chamber of Commerce (since 2010), and a member of St. Thomas Episcopal Church (since 2010).
