We are the virtual organization for women who do business on the WEB. This means that, while there is no charge to you to access and read the public content on this website, we depend on membership dues, product sales, advertising revenues, and other programs to earn an income and cover the costs of maintaining this site. Listed below you will find the various types of “advertising” we participate in and offer to create a revenue stream. It is our sincere hope that the information provided will help our audience better understand our “revenue model” and how Women in Ecommerce™ does business online.

Paid Advertising

Banner advertisement space is offered on a limited basis as space becomes available. Most of our banner and button advertising is Pay Per Click using either Google Adsense (identified as “Ads by Google”), Page impressions that are paid by advertisers to Google and in turn Google serves them to “adsense partners, Linkshare, Clickbank or one of our other “affiliated programs.” We also offer advertising space in our digital magazine for a fee based upon size ad and availability. When you you click on a Google ad (Pay Per Click programs), WE receives a very small referral fee which WE really appreciates.

All advertising we display on the site and in our digital magazine must conform to our content which means we accept relevant content that we feel will be helpful to our audience.

Affiliate Programs

Women in Ecommerce™ participates in numerous affiliate programs in which we receive a commission whenever you purchase through an affiliate program. These are tracked using unique links we receive from the advertiser. These links can be in the form of text links, in blog posts, and graphic ads such as banners, buttons and widgets. WE may also use them in our content when endorsing or reviewing a product. WE also appreciate when our readers click on those links and buy something. By the way, when you do make a purchase using our affiliate link, these purchases are the same price you would pay if you went directly to the site. From time to time our advertisers offer affiliate marketers such as Women in Ecommerce™ a special offer or incentive. Hey, if you plan to buy something anyway, WE would be delighted if you do so through our links.

Product Reviews

From time to time we accept free sample products from businesses who wish to share their products with us. Accepting those products does not influence our decision to mention the product or company on this site. It does give the company submitting a product the opportunity to call attention to their products. However, WE have specific criteria for product reviews and do not accept ANY products without first knowing what the product is and if it would be of interest or benefit to our readers.

Full Disclosure

Our goal is to provide our readers with valuable, relevant content. WE always gives honest recommendations and reviews. If we do not feel the product has some merit we simply do not review it. PERIOD.

NOTE: the FTC requires all websites, blogs and online communities disclose to its audience when revenue is generated from a click-through by its visitors via our posted links, graphics, text ads, banners and widgets.
