Award Recipient for Social Media Marketing
Catherine Minnis is Founder of The Minnis Group, a public relations and small business consulting firm in South Florida. The Minnis Group helps minority- and women-owned businesses with professional services that help to grow their business, including advertising, business development, fundraising, community outreach and public relations. Ms. Minnis recently completed 22 years of service as a Public Administrator with Miami-Dade County. Ms. Minnis also served as Director of Business Development/Community Outreach for the 2010 South Florida Super Bowl Host Committee with major responsibility for the National Football League’s Emerging Business Program.
Ms Minnis uses a variety of disciplines to help clients achieve their business goals including using social media marketing. She is active on Facebook, LinkedIn, Twitter, Foursquare and Klout and teaches her clients how to maximize their time on these sites as part of her company’s integrated marketing strategies.
Ms. Minnis volunteers her time and serves on numerous South Florida Boards, namely a member of the Dean’s Alumni Circle at Florida International University, College of Business; Board Member of Young at Art Children’s Museum; Board Member of the American Cancer Society Dade-Monroe Unit and an alum of the U. S. Department of Justice Federal Bureau of Investigation Miami Division Citizens’ Academy. A graduate of the Greater Miami Chamber of Commerce Leadership Miami Program, Ms. Minnis holds a Master of Business Administration Degree in International Business and a Bachelor of Public Administration from Florida International University respectively. Ms. Minnis the proud mother of three children.
