Meet Golden Mouse Award Recipient for GLOBAL EVENT MARKETING
Linda Pereira is the senior partner and CEO of the L&I Communications Group. In addition to her long and respected career as one of the most influential voices in the Meeting Industry, she is also Executive Director of CPL Events. Respected internationally as a speaker, writer and as an educator, she is continually being invited to speak to professionals in the Business Travel Sector and has lectured in countries such as the USA, Italy, Spain, Russia, China, Egypt, Cape Verde, United Kingdom, Dubai, Spain, Poland, Slovenia, Brazil, South Africa and Germany, to name just a few.
She is also the only female ever to be invited by the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia to speak at a national event. She has worked on the major events which marked the last 30 years from EXPO ’98, EURO 2004, World Stage Fencing Championship, three EU Presidencies among others. She has played an active role in many major events and bids for world events. She is also an invited lecturer for the Masters Degree in Strategic Meetings Management at three different international Universities. She is recognized for her efficiency and professionalism and thinking outside the box.
Linda is absolutely passionate about associations and sits on a variety of international association boards herself. Linda is also a consultant to a variety of international Governments and associations. In 2008 she was considered one of Portugal’s five most influential people in the industry and received the annual education award from USA-based IAHMP. In 2009 she received the medal of honour for responsible entrepreneurship from the Mayor of Cascais for her commitment to promoting culture and heritage and for CSR initiatives. In 2012 she was noted one of world’s top 100 PCOs for the third year running and was listed among the top 100 Women CEOs of ecommerce companies by WE magazine from the USA. She is currently the European Ambassador for the Sands Cotai Macao’ and for the City of Johannesburg. Linda sits on various Advisory Boards, most notably the Meetings UK Show 2013 and Portugal’s Events Industry Awards as well as the IAHMP Education Committee which she presides and has been the Chair of the Association Congress for the last two years.
She is married to a Career Military Office and has two daughters.
This year Linda was voted Personality of the Year 2012 in Portugal.
