Meet Rosemarie Reed, Vice-President of Marketing – CruiseOne and Cruises Inc. – Digital Marketing Leader

Rosemarie Reed has been with CruiseOne® and Cruises Inc.® — which are part of World Travel Holdings, one of the nation’s leading travel retail networks — for the past six years and epitomizes the type of career growth that is possible at World Travel Holdings.  She started as a senior project manager in the Information Technology department and then became the manager of e-commerce. She then requested to transfer to marketing to become its director and revitalize the department, serving as key player in setting the overall marketing roadmap. Always working in the travel industry, Rosemarie began her career as a marketing account executive with The Walt Disney Company. Her past experiences have shaped her into a dynamic leader who has restructured the marketing department to adapt to the changing needs of the consumer.

With an eye on the future, Rosemarie recognized the need for CruiseOne and Cruises Inc. to become more digital, and has made these changes since her first position in the IT department where she spearheaded and managed the web applications for an email marketing campaign between agents and consumers. As the manager of e-commerce, Rosemarie oversaw the full re-design and re-branding of the CruiseOne and Cruises Inc. websites, leveraging available resources within the company to create dynamic and state-of-the-art user-friendly websites.

In her current role as vice-president of marketing, it is imperative for Rosemarie to understand the unforeseen circumstances which often face the cruise and travel industry, such as the economy and environment, and determine how to adapt the company’s marketing efforts to sustain and ensure consumers’ needs and concerns. In her first year as director of marketing, Rosemarie re-aligned the strategy, spending and channel management of the company’s lead generating programs resulting in a double-digit revenue growth. Since then, she has revolutionized the company’s digital footprint by creating a video library to increase brand awareness, designed and implemented new email marketing platforms that have increased sales, increased efficiencies in tracking the company’s marketing efforts, developed an innovative online advertising campaign, revamped the paid search campaigns and more. In addition to this increased and improved online presence, Rosemarie completely transformed the company’s print marketing materials, including its award-winning quarterly publication World Traveler.

Rosemarie has been asked to speak at Regional Trainings, National Conference and other external digital marketing conferences nationwide for audiences of up to 2,000 people. She is referenced as an expert in her field amongst her peers and has and her experienced is leveraged as an active board member for external interactive marketing companies.

Rosemarie has already experienced tremendous growth during her short tenure at CruiseOne and Cruises Inc. — she is the youngest member of the 30-person management team.
