Meet Award Recipient for CORPORATE IT LEADER of the YEAR
Sandi Szalay serves as CruiseOne and Cruises Inc.’s Vice President of Information Technology and is responsible for creating technological solutions for the more than 100 corporate employees at headquarters in Fort Lauderdale, as well as the more than 1,500 home-based travel agents located throughout the U.S. and abroad. These solutions include the agent’s booking system, the corporate intranet, tech support, customizable consumer websites for each agent, corporate consumer and recruitment websites and third-party integrated solutions which connect agents and the corporate team to the cruise lines.
Over the past decade, she has led the company’s technological evolution to extraordinary heights. Under Szalay’s leadership, CruiseOne and Cruises Inc. has quickly moved to the forefront of the industry with its proprietary software development and unrivaled technical support. She developed and launched CruiseControl, a state-of-the-art customer relationship manager, sales reporting and reservation system with up-to-the-minute inventory from cruise lines, as well as the new mobile websites.
Previously, Szalay was a software project manager with Interzine Productions; a leader in interactive leisure sports websites.
