Meet Eileen Bennett, International Ambassador ~ Ireland

Eileen Bennett is the world’s first – possibly only – virtual Mammy! Her website Ask Mammy was created to fill the gap left by the erosion of traditional communities in our modern society.

She is founder and former MD and Group Editor of the regional, glossy, lifestyle magazines, GALWAYnow and CORKnow. In that role she brought both titles from relative obscurity to must-read status in their target markets.

In 2005 she sold her shares in the company to focus on pursuing her passion and developing a unique niche in the personal development market. Her efforts culminated in the establishment of critically acclaimed website and online community http://www.askmammy.ie.

As ‘Mammy’ Eileen’s blog – opened in late March 2007 and she has attracted a loyal base of regular visitors. The forum – Mammy’s Kitchen – has over 2000 members and she provides a weekly ‘Ask Mammy’ slot on a local radio station where she answers listener’s questions on a broad range of topics.

Eileen has taken over full responsibility for Enlightenment – www.enlightenment.ie – a website dedicated to celebrating success, recognising achievement, providing information, provoking thought and nurturing initiative. She is also working an on exciting new project that uniquely marries personal development and social networking!

She has acted as Executive Coach and Mentor to some of Europe’s top Management and Personal Development Thinkers.

Already a well-established and respected writer, Eileen is now in demand as a speaker on the topics about which she feels most passionate; Finding your passion and purpose, Living Inside Out and Taking charge of your life. Over the past decade Eileen has built a reputation for inspiring tomorrow’s leaders, working in a voluntary and professional capacity with teenagers – another passion!

Originally from Co. Cork she has been living in Galway (her spiritual home) since 1980. She married a widower with three teenage boys in 1986 and produced another son and a daughter, who are now in their late teens. She and her family (including a much-loved dog, cat and horse) live in the heart of countryside.
