Meet Maria Sara Jijon Calderon: Counsel – Ontological Coach – Trainer and Global Ambassador to Equador!
Ms. Jijon is an Ecuadorian national (Quito, Ecuador, 1967). She studied Law at the Catholic University in Quito -PUCE (LLM ’93). She then obtained a joint degree: Master of Laws & Diploma in International Taxation at Harvard Law School (ITP/LLM ’95). Ms. Jijon obtained a Diploma on Gender & Economics at FLACSO Ecuador (2011). She is a certified Corporate Ontological Coach from HPI/e-Iconex (2012).
Ms. Jijon is member of the BOD of the Quito Chamber of Commerce. She is Co-Founder of the Red Mujer Emprendedora – Ecuador, network of women entrepreneurs. She was the Director of the School of Government at IDE Business School – Ecuador (2006-2010). She worked as Program Legal Counsel at IDLO, Rome-Italy, (1999-2004).
Ms. Jijon was Member of the BOD of WAM International, and MFTransparency. Between 2010 and 2011 she was Member of the BOD at Banco D-MIRO, an Ecuadorian microfinance institution.
Ms. Jijon is interested in the economic empowerment of women, citizen participation, conflict management, women leadership, corporate responsibility & sustainability, sustainability in the banking industry, inclusive financing and consumer protection (financial services). She is member of the Vital Voices Global Leadership Network.
Ms. Jijon is also the newest member of our International Team – Representing Women in Ecommerce as our Global Ambassador to Equador.
