Meet our newest Platinum Member, Woodie Lesesne

Woodie Lesesne is a multi-media entrepreneur whose career success spans more than two decades and who has led cutting edge innovations in both traditional, non-traditional and new media. As co-founder and publisher of IN FOCUS Magazine, she guided the print property to an unprecedented 19-year success in the South Florida region. President and COO of Lesesne Media Group, Mrs. Lesesne has led dramatic transitions from print media to web tv and film.

The top production executive for LMG Films, Mrs. Lesesne has produced two features films, three documentaries, and several short film over the last six years. Woodie is as comfortable in front of the camera as an actor and host, as behind the camera, producing/directing and greenlighting the company’s independent projects. In November of 2012, Woodie led the launch of LMG TV, one of the first woman-owned and black-owned Web TV channels in the region. In 2002, Mrs. Lesesne founded the annual Women’s Power Caucus leadership conference which attracts women in leadership from across the region. She also helps fortune 500 companies and small business owners develop their brands as they strive to expand and diversify their market share. Committed to the next generation of aspiring music and film talent, Woodie relaunched the Miami Urban Music & Film Festival (MUMFF ), with her team. As the Executive Producer of MUMFF, she and her husband/business partner Tony Lesesne are grooming their sons, Cameron, Alexander and Julian as the next generation of business leaders and producers in the Entertainment business.

Mrs. Lesesne has received numerous awards, including the 2009 Minority Business of the Year, state of Florida, the 2011 NAWBO Bravo Diversity Award, and the 2012 Producer of the Year, from CAMACOL (Latin American Chambers). 2017 LMG received its 1st Digital Media of the Year award presented by Black Owned Media Alliance (BOMA). Lesesne says it’s humbling to be recognized and it makes her strive to continually up her game as she passes on her knowledge and experience to help the next generation.

Woodie enjoys photography, swimming, politics and cooking Caribbean cuisine for her friends and family. In spite of her many accomplishments, she says her greatest joys and privilege has been raising her three sons and maintaining a happy and successful marriage of twenty plus years. Her motto is “Enjoy your Journey”.
