Women in Ecommerce™ Resource of the Week is SaveVid.com.
I learned about SaveVid.com from Hana Dolgin of Kangen Water. I had interviewed Hana during the Women’s Empowerment Summit in April of 2009. I then posted the video to YOUTube and shared the link with Hana and my community. In early December Hana emailed asking for permission to download the video and upload it to her site. At the time I did not know about this cool tool. I mentioned to her to Google how to download one of my videos from youtube and send me the information so I could download it for her. She discovered SaveVid.com and downloaded the video herself. Hana was kind enough to share this resource with me so I am in turn sharing it with you! And it is such a simple (FREE) tool, I recommend you try it out.
Here’s what SaveVid.com can do:
Savevid.com is a tool which gives you the ability to download videos from streaming video sites. You can download videos from Youtube, Google Videos, Metacafe, Spike and more in FLV, AVI, MOV, MPG or WMV formats.
Copying the videos is as easy as 1,2,3!
• Copy the URL of the video from your browsers address bar
• Paste it in the green box above and click “download” button
• When your download link is generated just click on it to and your download will begin
TIP: Some of the providers (like Youtube) do not provide you with the real name of the video file. So you will have to rename the file before or after saving. You’ll have to change the extension to FLV too.
The following Video Sites are supported: YouTube, Dailymotion, Metacafe, Break, Veoh, MySpace, Revver, Blip.tv, WeGame, Tangle, 5min, Game Trailers, LiveVideo.com, RuTube, FaceBook, Vimeo, current, Funny Or Die, eHow.
The site averages about 30,000 downloads a day and the neat thing is they post the latest downloads to their homepage so if you are interested in a little extra publicity for your video, this is a great way to grab it. Just go to SaveVid.com today!
