First Fridayz Forum

1st Fridayz™ is a three-tiered platform (using email/teleconferencing/webconferencing) networking event that takes place the 1st Friday of every month. This 4 to 24-hour event has become a popular “hangout” for women who want to learn more about doing MORE business on and off the web using Web 2.0 tools and resources. In addition to the informational/educational component, networking is at the core of 1st Fridayz™ success.

The event takes place on the First Friday of every month (except Holiday Weekends). 1st Fridayz™ networking events allow participants to get to know more about the products and services each offers, by participating in “showcases” of their online ventures. In addition, the Women’s eCommerce Association invites guest experts to talk about a variety of topics relative to Web 2.0 including blogging, social networking, web conferencing, podcasting, video creation and search engine marketing; topics of great interest to women business owners, professionals and executives today. The single most valuable benefit of participating in an event like this may well be the incredible network of like-minded business women who understand where you’re coming from. When you have a challenge or concern, you can connect with other members of Women in Ecommerce and find valuable feedback and suggestions for overcoming those challenges. Our 1st Fridayz™ events are designed to be a rich mix of conversations, one-on-one interviews, and panel discussions. And the beauty of our three-tiered platform is that you can come and go and interact as you please. You are not attached to your computer keyboard, webcam or telephone unless you want to be.

Our mission is to “help women do MORE business on and off the WEB.” Some of the topics we cover are centered around blogging for business, podcasting for profit, social media, creating your own internet radio show, finding the social networking sites that have the benefits you need, creating videos to promote your business, the latest in search engine marketing, getting publicity online, future trends … and more!

In fact, members of our Global Network (members, guests of members and women’s organizations) are invited to attend at no charge and participate in these discussions. Members are welcome to invite women in your circle to attend and introduce her to our network.

Members can showcase for FREE during our 1st Fridayz Forums. Not a member? You can join and take advantage of this opportunity for free or you can sign up to showcase your products/services for a nominal fee of $25 for up to 10-minute showcase. We allow 1 to 2 showcases per hour during our 1st Fridayz events.

On the 1st Fridayz™ social networking forum on LinkedIn, you will be able to post your introduction,  and join in the email discussion portion of the event.
