Nurse Practitioner Carolyn Zaumeyer has been specializing in women’s health (gynecology ) for more than 20 years. She is the author of two books and more than 27 publications, has served on the Advisory Board of the Duke/Johnson & Johnson Nurse Leadership Program and is an established public speaker, having presented nationally and internationally at more than 100 conferences.
After establishing the first independent nurse practitioner practice in Florida in 1994, Carolyn has become a well-known expert and resource for nurse practitioners embarking on business ownership, women’s health, and Bio-Identical Hormone Replacement Therapy
After the Women’s Health Initiative Trial in 2002 revealed that synthetic hormones could increase women’s risk of breast cancer, heart attack, stroke, blood clots and Alzheimer’s disease, Carolyn decided to devote her studies to Bio-Identical Hormones. She wanted to learn how to prescribe them safely and effectively. Carolyn has traveled throughout the United States and has studied under the most prominent experts in Bio-Identical Hormone Replacement Therapy (BHRT) — Dr. Sangeeta Pati in Orlando, Dr. Neil Rouzier in Salt Lake City, Dr. Daved Rosensweet in Naples, Florida and Dr. Gary Donovitz in Dallas. She is knowledgeable of all the delivery methods of hormone replacement and is especially excited and satisfied with the BioTE pelleting system.
Carolyn was the first BioTE Medical Certified Practitioner in Florida and was recently invited to become Faculty for BioTE Medical — providing BHRT training on the national level to physicians and Nurse Practitioners.
As a proud member of the Forever Health Practitioner Network, whose national spokesperson is Suzanne Somers; Carolyn has worked with Suzanne on several projects. Carolyn and Suzanne have a great rapport and are like-minded in their beliefs of healthy aging and BHRT.
Carolyn is currently providing BHRT to men and women, office gynecology and cosmetic injections at her Fort Lauderdale office.
