This month we didn’t have to look very far to find an amazing woman to feature as our member of the month. It is my good friend Edie Galley. Edie (Platinum Level Member) has been a supporter of Women in Ecommerce™ for more than 7 years and an advocate for women. Here is her story:
Edie Galley is an award-winning Entrepreneur, Coach, Radio Show Host, Writer and Speaker who specializes in courage for increased personal and business success; she empowers others to live their bigger life, a life they love and make money. In 2005, Edie launched a nationally syndicated online radio show, By For and About Women Radio which grew into a radio network of shows that included industry leading experts as hosts and guests sharing their unique perspectives and knowledge to help women lead more rewarding lives. The By For and About Women Network drew listeners from the US and over 43 other countries.
In 2010 Edie became founder and CEO of Courageous Voices, with a mission to empower others to live their bigger life. Edie draws from her extensive business and personal experience to help those she works with to develop more focused, balanced and fulfilling lives. She has a talent for guiding others to tap their inner courage, find their voice and act on their vision to accomplish their goals. Whether you want to start a business, increase sales in your existing business, or lose weight and be healthier, Edie is ready to help you live your bigger life.
Edie began her career in Accounting with a Fortune 500 company before realizing that it was not her true passion. After college and working for GTE for 8 years she summoned her courage, boldly quit and leaped into a career in sales. She has not looked back for a moment. Since then she has launched several new companies and consulted for large organizations including AC Nielson, Novartis, Verizon and Accenture along with developing successful sales strategies for hundreds of small entrepreneurs. She has also served as a Graduate Teaching Assistant for Dale Carnegie Courses in Human Relations and Public Speaking.
Edie has spoken before diverse groups both large and small that included members from entrepreneurs to Peoplefluent, PPG, and Cadbury Schweppes. Edie has served on the Advisory Committee for Keiser University, and chaired the Women in Business Committe for the Chamber of The Palm Beaches, as well as participated in several women’s organizations like BPW, NAWBO, and eWomen Network. Along the way, Edie has also received awards and recognition for her contributions and accomplishments including Verizon’s Quest for Quality Award, The Jaycees Outstanding State Chapter President Award and Dale Carnegie’s Prestigious Presenter Award.
A true believer in giving back her current passion is developing a program to pair horses with at risk teen girls. In the past she has been heavily involved with Girl Scouts and The March of Dimes. She is passionate about reading and learning, she is an avid runner, and loves spending time at the beach and homeschooling her two children.
